Project Superintendent – Commercial Construction


Description:
-The Project Superintendent is the day-to-day leader for the on-site construction activities of its assigned projects within the company.
-The Project Superintendent will work side-by-side with the
assigned Project Manager and lead its supporting Project Engineers and Administrators to complete the construction of its assigned projects and in accordance with the project Contract Agreement entered into by the Company.
-The Project Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Operations, Executive Manager.
-The Project Superintendent position is dedicated to the on-site scheduling, coordination, safety, quality, inspections and scheduling activities of the assigned projects.
-The Project Superintendent
must be capable of translating project strategy into tactical and operational on-site construction activity planning and implementation that creates the desired project financial, schedule, quality
and relationship results, and must possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the Company’s expected project outcomes. The Project Superintendent must be capable and able to
work with a diverse customer base in the commercial, office, warehouse, education, institutional, healthcare, retail, recreation, government, and hospitality sectors.


Essential Job Function:
-The activities of the Project Superintendent will include duties related to all aspects of jobsite construction management aimed at increasing daily project throughput effectiveness.
-The Project Superintendent is self-managed, self-motivated, a self-starter, able to exercise considerable independent judgment, employ exceptional analytical skills, and communicate clearly and
effectively.
-The Project Superintendent is well organized, a problem solver, solutions-driven, must have a positive, client-focused, “can-do” attitude, can multi-task with ease and is results driven.

· Strong leadership capability that encourages others through confidence, integrity, intellect and perseverance that inspires trust and confidence in staff members and clients.
· Have strong organizational skills with a superior attention to detail.
· Have analytical skills as a problem predictor, not just a problem solver.
· Proven strategic planning and budgeting skills.
· The ability to schedule and lead complex construction projects.
· Have a track record of construction management excellence, evidenced by a record of
completing projects timely, providing quality work, and meeting cost objectives, while maintaining a safe and positive environment for all trades within the scope of the projects.
