Description

As a Project Manager - JOC you will have the opportunity to:
 
  • Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
  • Provide complete conceptual (or bidwork) and final estimating input on complex projects
  • Provide technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids
  • Insure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures
  • Assist contracting department during preparation of inquiries and final evaluation of submitted bids as required
  • Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit; procuring materials, etc
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction
     
Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant experience as an Estimator. Advanced degree desired
  • Experience working on NYC Metro area construction projects is required. Experience working with public NYC agencies is desired
  • Experience working on multiple projects and with various clients at the same time is required
  • Candidate needs to have Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience or experience working on Unit Price projects in NYC public sector
  • Candidates must have worked for small local and regional contractors that focus on smaller projects or renovation and/or tenant improvement work
  • Extensive construction industry experience working in public sector is a plus
  • Candidates must also have strong computer skills and be proficient with estimating software
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
     
The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000 depending on experience
