Project Scheduler- New York City

The Project Scheduler serves as a partner to the management team in planning, scheduling and time control functions for business operations with an annual construction volume up to $2 billion.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide input on project pursuits including fee proposals, RFP responses, presentation content, etc.
  • Provide oversight relative to all aspects of planning & scheduling for all projects
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place so that proper schedule techniques and update procedures are followed on all projects within a District
  • Report concerns to business unit management regarding proper project controls on any projects within a business unit
  • Assume lead role for Scheduling in the business unit’s strategic planning process
  • Set Scheduling-related Customer Satisfaction goals
  • Train others in risk identification and mitigation
  • Manage department workload and deliverables and balance with available backlogged recoveries and recovery targets
  • Oversee and provide guidance to the scheduling department staff in all matters involving written and verbal communication
  • Conduct monthly project audits
  • Exhibit good understanding of safety protocols & initiatives
  • Champion Quality Management efforts throughout the business unit
  • Have a thorough understanding of Lean Construction Techniques

  • In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, sequences, crew sizes, productivity rates, manpower analysis, cash flow, and CPM scheduling.
  • BS in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of related experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent planning and problem-solving skills * Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
