A leading provider of energy efficiency and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Senior Estimator to support preconstruction efforts for public and private sector projects. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for energy retrofits, engineering upgrades, and infrastructure modernization work—including MEP systems, lighting, controls, and renewable technologies.
Develop detailed, accurate cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and performance requirements to create comprehensive pricing for energy efficiency and infrastructure projects.
Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes; manage the bidding process as needed.
Prepare value engineering options and cost-benefit analyses to support project development.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project development teams to align cost estimates with technical strategies.
Track historical cost data, market trends, and pricing databases to improve estimate accuracy.
Present and defend estimates to internal stakeholders and external clients.
Assist in the development of proposal pricing and RFP responses for public and utility-funded projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience, preferably within energy services, mechanical/electrical construction, or public infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of MEP systems, building retrofits, and construction means and methods.
Proficient with estimating software (e.g., RSMeans, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.).
Familiarity with energy efficiency programs, incentives, and ESCO/Design-Build project delivery a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), LEED AP, or Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
