Survey Engineer

One of the top General Contractors in Colorado is looking for a Survey Engineer for Denver. 
Work consists of high volume commercial/ residential builder services including
building staking, form checks, foundation, and final title surveys.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Run and supervise a one or two-man field crew.
• Prepare field notes, sketches, and photos.
• Collect and code data for topographic, utility, structural monitoring,
boundary, wetlands, other types of surveys.
• Perform construction survey & layout.
• Utilize robotic total stations, optical/digital levels, and GPS.
• Perform daily downloads of data collector files.
• Adhere to company protocols for maintenance and upkeep of survey
equipment and vehicles.
• Layout of points and BIM coordination as required in Autocad and Rivet

Assist self perform department in developing and maintaining subcontractor
Assist self perform division.

Applicants who have GPS equipment or RPLS license a plus.

Skills Required:
• An equivalent combination of 5 years+ education and experience as a
party chief preferred.
• Wide range of experience in topographic/boundary survey and
construction layout.
• Familiarity with operation of survey instruments including electronic total
station, digital level, GPS equipment, robotics, 3D laser scanner, and
data collectors.
• Knowledge of surveying principles and practices; engineering design
and construction practices.
• Large project survey including commercial high rise, campus style
apartments, senior living, retail and infrastructure projects a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/GeoPAK, and Trimble
Business Center a plus.
• Ability to solve problems, perform surveying calculations and resolve
property boundaries.
• Ability to react positively to difficult project assignments and/or client
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, and have a clean driving record.
