 Directly supports operations within the Division. Has responsibility for multiple projects to supervise and coordinate the project operations in order to complete the work safely, on time, on budget and to the quality specified.  Is a problem solver.

  • Provides executive leadership to Project Teams of assigned projects to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule; including interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, subcontractors, and vendors, etc.
  • Plans, coordinates and/or supervises activities of PM’s, Superintendents and Engineers on assigned project(s).
  • Conducts performance reviews for direct reports and ensures reviews occur for others on project teams.
  • Participates in professional development of personnel; i.e. career paths, mentoring, coaching, etc.
  • Authorizes/approves all project transactions (hiring, transfers, wages etc.), purchase requisitions, change request etc.
  • Ensures job costing reports are completed as required by Vice President(s).
  • Works with Project Teams to identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Ensures all company, client and project policies, procedures, standards, etc. are adhered to and interprets policies as required.
  • Assist with implementation/ interpretation of safety programs.
  • Provides direction for planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required. 
  • Participates in marketing efforts.
  • Participates in networking and marketing efforts.
  • Participates in presentations and assists in development of proposals.
  • Participates in industry organizations.
  • Mentors Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
Education and Experience
  • Four-year college degree with four-years of formal engineering or architectural training and at least 12 years of building construction experience required, preferred discipline in engineering or construction management.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, line and grade (survey), estimating and engineering principals and techniques, as well as accounting principles. Familiar with various construction methods and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft office suite of programs. Knowledge of Viewpoint and Primavera scheduling desirable. Very strong English oral & written communication skills are a must.
