Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing prototype documents & checklists for projects
  • Assist the Business Development department with any preparation of VDC documents for proposals and represent the VDC team in project interview pursuits as needed
  • Ability to create models from contract documents to be used for preconstruction and construction needs
  • Develop and ensure the use of BIM policies and procedures are implemented and followed on projects
  • Experience doing Quantity Takeoff (Revit, Navisworks, On-screen)
  • Provides oversight, management and guidance for the preparation of new projects starting preconstruction
  • Coach, mentor and supervise the process of virtually constructing a building by production
  • Prepare VDC schedule specific to each project and ensure it is incorporated into the Construction schedule
  • Experience preparing estimates for VDC services
  • Provides oversight, management and guidance for the preparation of new projects starting construction
  • Download/upload all models for administration and maintenance to be used for construction
  • Lead coordination process including coordination meetings, clash detection and conflict resolution
  • Prepare RFIs related to VDC and track them in the VDC Command Center Document or PM software
  • Maintain a Weekly Work Plan (WWP) through the construction phase
  • Track, manage and price change orders related to VDC
  • Prepare VDC invoices and send them to Project managers
  • Verify accuracy of MEP system installation per the coordination drawings and field verify/as-built
  • Write monthly progress update specific to each project and send to Project Managers for review
  • Process all MEP shop drawings to be submitted to design team for review
  • Ensure VDC project deliverables are met and close out is complete at end of job
  • Ability to prepare training materials for internal training and company training
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Construction management, architecture or equivalent
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
  • Experience working in the field is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time is highly desired
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and direct support experience in required VDC software (i.e. Navisworks, Revit, Archicad, AutoCAD, etc.)
  • Experience using BIM 360 Field is an added benefit
  • Highly organized, creative, solution-oriented and team-focused
  • Must have strong interpersonal relations skills, communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, leadership ability and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to keep current and standardized job files
  • Timely and accurate preparation of VC models, shop drawings, etc.
  • Develop and Maintain positive customer/client satisfaction
  • Continue to develop education and knowledge about the changing processes and trends in the VDC world
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands.
